In
the Spring of 1991, I began volunteering at a local center that was forming
"Medjugorje in America." It was someone's home converted into a place
where people could come and pay tribute to Our Lady, and the work she was doing in
Medjugorje.
This group of people
decided to start distributing the rosaries, but needed a cost effective way of doing
so. Here's the mysterious part;
I am an artist, and my
husband is a mold-maker; coincidentally, two people they needed to accomplish their
goal.
So, I designed the
crucifix, carved a model, and my husband did the necessary steel work to build a
mold. We have been running it ever since, and still sell them today for lower than
their original cost.
